The first 2026 board meeting of Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism took place in Trinity College Dublin on Thursday 29th of January.

Items discussed include the Work Programme for 2026 and beyond, which features insurance, marketing of the sector, sustainable practice, inclusivity & accessibility, technical standards, education, governance, the conference and other events, staffing the sector and much more.

The work programme is aimed at delivering everything in the sector in a world class manner that meets our ambition for Ireland to be recognised as a global leader of adventure tourism.

The meeting also featured presentations from Chris Anako (Managing Director of Affinities at Arachas Insurance) and Drew Duggan (Head of Tourism at Trinity College). Thanks to Drew, Chatrine and the team for their warm welcome to this awe-inspiring and unique setting.
