What We Do
What We do
A Strong Voice
IAAT is the representative body for over 200 adventure activity tourism operators, in a sector that employs over 7,500 people across every county on the island of Ireland.
This sector is one of the fastest growing and most exciting within Irish tourism and IAAT aims to work with operators to develop the sector in a sustainable and responsible manner. Examples of our work includes:
We represent the outdoor activity tourism sector agenda at industry, public body & Government top tables.
We don't just shout about what's wrong! We also develop solutions to obstacles e.g. for insurance; good practice.
We gather data from the sector on a regular basis which forms the mandate from which we act and we provide local and international data for our members.
We lobby nationally, internationally and locally on key issues that will contribute towards success for members.
To achieve the above work, we have brought the adventure tourism sector together as a truly collaborative community.
Our Vision
IAAT’s vision is to enable Ireland to become a global leader in adventure tourism.
