DESCRIPTION:Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT) will deliver it’s latest tourism business forum in the Lakeside Hotel\, Ballina\, Co. Tipperary on Monday 19th of May at 11am.\nThis FREE event will set out key areas of growth and opportunities\, latest trends & data\, the latest on insurance specifically\, and other significant challenges facing the sector. \nThe event will include: \n\nupdates on outdoor tourism\, including a focus on the region\nwhat’s happening with insurance reform and its impact\, or lack thereof\ncollaboration opportunities between tourism sectors\ndomestic and international market performance outlook\nthe latest industry trends\n\n…and much more! \nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n  \nWho should attend?\nThis event is targeted at outdoor activity providers\, tourism stakeholders (including accommodation providers\, attractions\, restaurants and pubs) and anyone interested in the world of adventure tourism! \nSpeakers include: \n\nBrendan Kenny – CEO\, Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism\nCarmel Ormond – Lough Derg Tourism Officer\, Tipperary County Council\nBrian Hanley – CEO\, Alliance for Insurance Reform\nCillian O’Mara – Owner\, My Next Adventure\nColin Wolfe – Chair\, Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism\nEoin Little – General Manager\, The Lakeside Hotel\n\nThere will be a Q&A afterwards\, and refreshments available for attendees. \n\n\n\n\nAbout IAAT:\nEstablished in 2017\, Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT) is the representative body for over 200 adventure activity tourism operators on the island of Ireland\, in a sector that employs over 8\,000 people across every county. \nMembers include adventure centres\, waterparks\, tour operators and businesses offering kayaking\, biking\, hiking\, rafting\, horse-riding\, surfing\, horse-riding and many more activities. These businesses offer enjoyable activities to both domestic and international markets\, promoting positive physical & mental health\, as well as risk education in controlled settings and pathways to long-term participation. \nIn support of our work on behalf of the Irish outdoor tourism sector\, IAAT is partnered with with Fáilte Ireland\, Tourism Northern Ireland\, the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC)\, the Northern Ireland Tourism Alliance (NITA)\, a number of County Councils\, Waterways Ireland\, FareHarbor\, Arachas Insurance\, the Sustainable Tourism Network\, the European Confederation of Outdoor Employers (EC-OE) and the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI).
